Seaweed for biofuel
Yup, you heard that right.
In 2019 a Danish research company used a Dutch bio-fuel made from seaweed to power a car, achieving speeds of 50mph.
While maybe electric cars are the ultimate answer, we still don't see them being affordable for most people and with the energy crisis is only going to get worse making it a struggle for most to travel.
Could seaweed once again have the answer?
Seaweed grows incredibly fast, needs no land or pesticides and sequesters huge amounts of carbon and then when it is used as fuel is non polluting or does it release toxic fumes.
Fortunately some forward thinking countries are already implementing this 'win win' bio fuel, using it for agriculture and industry.
