Socktastic! We raised £300, thank you!

My mum (AKA Nana Joss) is a non stop obsessive creative.  If she isn't knitting jumpers or socks she will be painting pebbles, or creating some crazy intricate drawings in her sketch book.

A few months ago she mentioned she had been making socks which she gave away as presents to the grandkids and when I saw them I knew we could sell these on Inland Sea.  So around this time last year Nana Joss started knitting various pairs of socks, using a variety of Merino Wool.  Her inspiration for colours and patterns was Anglesey where she knitted a lot of the pairs in her caravan in Rhosneigr.

Over 70 pairs later, I photographed all the pairs and set them live on the website and sold like hot cakes, helping us raise £300 for International Rescue Committee (IRC).

We chose IRC because as the climate crisis worsens many refugees will be forced to risk their lives attempting to cross the English channel in a bid for a better life for their families.

We would like to say a massive thanks to everyone who has bought a pair and been in touch with the very lovely messages of thanks and praise for Nana Joss's knitting skills!

Big thanks to Macclesfield's Coop Scoop and Scales on stocking the socks too.
