2022 - (Truly) Sustainable T-shirts Made in the UK
Firstly a big thanks to everyone who has supported us throughout 2022, as my Dad would say 'it's not easy...' And yeah it's definitely been a tough one, not just for us as a business but the world has seriously taken a beating this year and in so many ways.
It's never been a more important time to support businesses who truly are trying to help to solve the climate crisis, and setup a new way of production especially here in the UK 'think local, act global...' dudes...
Whilst there are so many monumental challenges that surround the Climate Crisis, there's some amazing progress being made and it is good to see seaweed being part of that! Notpla who we have worked with to develop our new packaging have won the 'Build a waste free world' Earthshot Prize Award. Huge congrats to Notpla who are definitely leading the way in using seaweed as a solution and alternative to our massive plastic and cardboard packaging issue.

Secondly, an apology for the delays in getting orders completed and sent out. There have been so many challenges this year which meant much slower production and delays with completing the T-shirts some of which were pre-ordered, however moving forward we are now putting in place a support structure as well as being able to offer more T-shirts and a much speeder service - more on that very soon.

A challenging year but we did it... Fabric that contains seaweed made in the UK
At the end of last year we were put in a great position to attempt to manufacture our own fabric right here in the UK, for anyone who has been following our journey will know in 2021 we created our own T-shirt range using a fibre that contained seaweed. Off the back of that we then imported the fibre into the UK, and have produced an incredibly beautiful fabric, which boasts medicinal properties, is highly sustainable, with every supply and manufacturing chain traceable and transparent. We have produced one of the most environmentally friendly T-shirts ever made and helped to establish a truly eco way of manufacturing clothing right here in the UK.
